North Karnataka Flood Relief work summary
Late August 2019 , when most of North karnatka was inundated with water some of our friends got together to help the flood affected villages in whichever way possible. After lot of inquiry , we zeroed on to a village called Melavanki - near Gokak taluk (Belagavi district , KA). We selected a school in this village , Siddharoodh primary school - kannada medium. There were around 400+ students and upon our discussion with school teacher named Iranna Kadakol, we were told to donate books (dictionaries and other kannada books) to all 400+ students as they had already got other items like bag , notebooks etc.

After much of a delay on the account of place selection , our time schedule etc , we finally decided to go to melavanki village on 22nd September 2019. Two of my brothers Pradeep Hiremath and Shridhar Kagawad (Pintu) came forward to help the students and handled all the activities from logistics to distribution. I really appreacite them for their time and commitment. They were also accompanied by a orthopedic doctor from Gokak Dr Mallikarjuna M Birangeddiyavar.
