North Karnataka Flood Relief work summary
Late August 2019 , when most of North karnatka was inundated with water some of our friends got together to help the flood affected villages in whichever way possible. After lot of inquiry , we zeroed on to a village called Melavanki - near Gokak taluk (Belagavi district , KA). We selected a school in this village , Siddharoodh primary school - kannada medium. There were around 400+ students and upon our discussion with school teacher named Iranna Kadakol, we were told to donate books (dictionaries and other kannada books) to all 400+ students as they had already got other items like bag , notebooks etc. Few photos showing how badly the school was impacted by water After much of a delay on the account of place selection , our time schedule etc , we finally decided to go to melavanki village on 22nd September 2019.
